Co-Pay Collection

CalOptima as Primary:

• If your family (or child) has CalOptima as your primary insurance, meaning that it is the only insurance available to your child, you will not have any co-pays.

CalOptima as Secondary:

• If your family (or child) has CalOptima as your secondary insurance, meaning it is in addition to your commercial insurance plan, your co-pays are sent directly to CalOptima for payment to Conscious Kids.

• IMPORTANT: All children with an ASD diagnosis qualify for CalOptima, regardless of the family income. You can sign up at any time with your child’s diagnostic information.

Out-Of-Pocket Payments:

• If your family (and child) do not have secondary insurance coverage, your co-pay balance will be sent out by our billing department each week. We collect payment through the platform ‘Tebra’ every Friday until you have met your out-of-pocket maximum through your insurance company.
